Blessings dear friends!
The Full Moon is often regarded as the most powerful phase in the lunar cycle, brimming with potent energies that can significantly impact our lives. As the moon reaches its fullest, it invites us to express gratitude for our accomplishments and the abundance that surrounds us. This is a moment to release what no longer serves us, paving the way for rejuvenation and renewal.
During this lunar phase, we often experience heightened success and protection. It’s an excellent time for healing, both physically and emotionally, as the moonlight illuminates our path, guiding us toward clarity and understanding.
Also, as the energetic gateways are dilated during this time, the vibrational field becomes more accessible for manifestation and intention-setting.
Recharge your tools
I recognize the Full Moon as the best time to recharge my ritual tools and my crystals, ensuring they are imbued with the moon's vibrant energy. I like to place them directly under the Moonlight, inside a circle of 3 white or silver candles.
Moon Water
One of my favorite practice during the Full Moon is making moon water—simply placing a container of water under the moonlight to absorb its energies. This charged water can be used in various rituals or as a sacred offering.
My writing Full Moon Ritual
Here is my current Full Moon Liberation ritual using the forces of writing:
I start by writing 5 releasing phrases, 3 times. Here are some examples:
I open myself up to the power that is with me.
I allow my highest self to show me the Truth.
I am grateful for the lessons I have learned but I release the pain of the past.
I have Faith: I make a conscious choice, I trust the Divine and I am patient.
I am in the process of becoming my highest self.
On an other piece of paper, I write 11 things I consider to be negative thoughts, patterns or energies. Things I want to release and let go.
I read them once out loud, strike a match and burn the paper in my cauldron (not the same one I use for recipes and spells), while repeating : "I let go of the negative thoughts, patterns and energies that no longer serve me."
As I watch my 11 things go up into smoke, I read my 5 relasing phrases intentions to the Moon, using the Holy Circle to enter in safe communication. I like to repeat them thrice.
I place the piece of paper under the Moonlight for the night, then I keep it on my altar for the full cycle. You can place a crystal on top (Moonstone, Selenite, clear Quarz).
I like to finish my ritual by meditating and sending gratitude to the Moon by reciting a prayer like this one:
Moon Goddess, bright and wise
Shine Your light on my path
Guide me through the dark
And bless me with Your wisdom.
Heal my heart and spirit
Fill me with Your gentle strenght
Help me see the way forward
As I release what no longer serves me.
Mother, I am ready to heal
I am ready to let go
I honor Your light
I release fear
I release pain
I release doubt.
Mother, I am Your child,
I am free
I am empowered
I am magnificent.
Thank you for Your blessings,
And Your eternal light.

Effects of the Full Moon on the Living
The Full Moon stimulates growth, making it an ideal time for harvesting plants and herbs that have benefitted from this surge of energy.
Therefore, it's completely normal to feel a surge of energy in our bodies too, specially for women. It is not uncommon to have trouble sleeping during the Full Moon: our energy is supposed to stay high all night to celebrate Mother Luna! Do not fight it to hard, embrace this excess of energy to engage in sports, dancing or any activity that helps releasing endorphins. If you are indeed wide-awake during this special night, use the time to meditate!
Cleansing and purification
An other thing I like to do on the Full Moon is taking a bath with a blend of sea salt, Moon water (from the previous Full Moon) and 10 drops of lavender oil. It enhances relaxation and restore balance.
If you're seeking deeper connection and cleansing, an other way is to scrub your body with a blend of salt, rosemary, sage and rose petals or rose buds. What I usually do is that I let the plants infuse in boiling water, let it cool a bit while I breathe the vapors, and then mix it with salt to gently scrub my body.
The Full Moon invites us to clean our space and altar to release stagnant energy. This cleansing ritual creates a fresh atmosphere that welcomes new possibilities and aligns us with the abundant energies the Full Moon offers. I usually use white sage or Palo Santo. Incense is also a possibility.
Embrace this powerful phase, take time to reflect, rejuvenate, and let the Full Moon guide you on your journey toward growth and transformation. So it is and it shall be. Blessed be.
